Ah Huat White Coffee (亞發白咖啡) is a newly-released white coffee brand in Malaysia. In order to generate a high level of interest in the product and create brand awareness, a theme song was written and composed by the famous local composer and songwriter, Mr. Tan Boon Huat (陈温法), and the famous local celebrity, Aniu (阿牛/陈庆祥) was chosen to endorse Ah Huat White Coffee.
The final storyboard of Ah Huat TV commercial was inspired by “Ice Kacang Puppy Love (初恋红豆冰)” which was directed and starred by Aniu in 2010. In the movie, Botak (starred by Aniu) is the youngest son of a Chinese coffee shop owner and he doesn’t know how to make the perfect cup of coffee. A new chapter of Botak life was created to make it relevant to the Ah Huat White Coffee tagline – “Huat ah, May All Your Dreams Come True (Huat啊，心想事成！)”.
Other than Aniu, others veteran actor and actress in local production, including Miau Miau (林静苗) were invited to star in this TV commercial. The TV commercial was taken at Toong Kwoon Chye (东莞仔), a coffee shop located at Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. Both Ah Huat White Coffee theme song and TV commercial has received an overwhelming response from public, especially young children as the song was a really catchy jingle with easy dance moves.
